Why should you care about politics?
And what does it have to do with your purse?
Are you financially strapped -- forced to choose between paying for your child’s ballet or violin lessons and buying gas? Are you worried about losing your home? Are you unhappy about the poor quality of your child’s education? If so, you’re already involved in politics.
Politics is already very much in your purse, in many surprising and worrying ways. The laws and regulation created by government muscle in on your private pursuit of happiness through taxes, fees, regulations, nanny laws, more taxes, health plan restrictions, double taxation on investment, rules on retirement plans, and so much more.
The real “war on women” is the war on the personal financial resources of all of us – whether moms and homemakers, employed or unemployed, sisters, aunts, daughters, or wives, recent graduates or seasoned citizens who love to wear red hats – all of us who are just trying to do the best for ourselves and our loved ones.
